Digital Citizenship Perspectives - Students_Global Awareness

Overview/description

Students Perspective- Global Awareness
This article was very educational, because it really connects to the global awareness area. It really makes us realize how mean people can get. Plus similar things happen everyday. I think we need to stop cyberbullying, too, I pretty much agree with the whole article.

Examples

.....Provide real examples from your school, country or from your research of how this norm and the Digiteen element impact on each other. These can be in the form of an image with text, a podcast, a short video, interviews etc.
A freshman at a university named Tyler Clementi committed suicide, because other students were cyberbullying him. Palfrey commented, "We need education; we need mentoring; we need parenting. We need to have good law enforcement … We need to have social workers figure out how to reach out in cyberspace, as well as in real space".
